Is it normal to have this pain in my vagina?

It started this morning when I was making breakfast. Out of nowhere, I started getting a bad, pulsing pain in my vagina region. It was really bad and was hurting with each step I took. So I took some pain medicine and laid down. in about 20-30 minutes, I felt a little better, but whenever I sit upright, it hurts for a couple seconds. When I clench, I feel it a little.
To see if anything was wrong, I inserted a finger into my vagina, and I've felt swollen. I tried researching, but haven't found any useful information.
I haven't been sexually active in a while.
My vagina does not itch or burn. It's just a pressure feeling I have. And that's the only pain I have.
So really all I have is pressure-like pain and a swollen vagina.
This has been going on since this morning and it's already 9:30 pm.
Do I have serious condition? Or should I not worry about it? Will it be better overnight?
Please help me..

Muscle spasms can cause a sharp pain in and around the genitalia.

    • I think that might be what it is. I went to sleep and by morning, I was A LOT better. Doesn't hurt when I sit, it's just a very dull pain. Same as when I clench. Just a dull pain

I want to say it's some sort of infection. You're better off going to a doctor to get yourself checked out. They could probably help you better than someone on this site can.

    • But my urine looks perfectly fine. When I urinate, I don't feel any pain. And I didn't go to the restroom too frequently. And when I did use the restroom, the normal amount of pee came out

I would certainly see a doctor.
