I believe that there is a higher being that created everything. The difference though is that this higher being finds entertainment in watching how their creations interact with each other. I don’t believe the higher being is loving I believe they see their creations as a doll house/tv show/ movie etc.
That’s why so many horrible things happen everyday all around the world and no higher being is fixing it. It’s their entertainment. Also with evolution that could be very entertaining watching your creations evolve over time.

    Yeah it's completely normal to have that view after all religion is based on faith, so as long as you have faith in your belief then it's valid. There was a religion that was more common a few hundred years ago called Deism. Basically deists believed that God created the universe, but doesn't interfere directly with the created world.
