my fiance sleeps with the tv on so its normal but i rather him atleast turn it down more cuz i like whispers not regular talking to get to sleep.. oh i rather not have the tv on at all though lol
My sister has to have TV on to fall asleep and so does my brother, yes normal, I'm totally different, i cant have any type of sound at all, if i hear the slightest thing, i can't go to sleep.
My brother needs white noise, noise of different frequencies, to sleep. I find it annoying but it varies.
NORMAL. Sure, I grew out of it when I was 5, but alot of people like to hear voices because it's very comforting. Hearing nothing and being in pitch black is actually pretty creepy when you think about it. Kind of like how your supposed to play music when your pregnant or something for your baby.
Normal, yes. I know several people who do this. However, in my opinion, it probably has adverse side effects. Talk about subliminal messaging...
I do this too - just to drown the noise of my tinnitus or I'd never get to sleep :o(
Maybe deep down you are lonely.
same here! i always thought its because im a lazy slob thats addicted to tv...but tv is a confort to me. i CANNOT imagine sitting somewhere, turning off the tv and then walking to my bed and trying to sleep in total silence!!
sometimes i think that this is actually really bad for us but maybe its not...
Yeah, it's normal!
I'm just the same, except I have to hear a fan, not the tv. I think it's just a comfort thing, which you've gotten used to over the years.
It's similar to, if you've grown up in the city, finding it too quiet to easily get to sleep in calm, country areas and vice versa.
