I have a conservative strict family that doesn't like if I wear revealing clothes in public. Note that revealing clothes means stuff like shirts that don't cover the butt, skirts above knee length, etc. They say it's for my own good, because it isn't safe to wear such clothing outside.
While it is understandable that your family wants you to stay safe, it is up to you to decide what you feel comfortable wearing. You should be able to express yourself without feeling judged or pressured by anyone else. If your family is still concerned, perhaps you can find a compromise by agreeing on certain clothing items or styles that are appropriate for both parties.
