I have visited my friend's house. There are many cats and their snacks. Then I started curious how the snacks tastes like ? and i'm not gonna try it again soon. But it tastes like a plain oatmeal with more nutrients, and it smells like a tuna fish aroma. Maybe it can overcome your hunger. If I'm that lucky maybe i could try some of his cats caramelized malt-cream or Käse-cream.

My brother once pranked me with a bag of nibbits, said I'd get a whole bag if I downed it. He put cat food in it and glued it back.
I opened it, poored it into my mouth and god did it taste like shit.
Once I tried vegan food,never try it,dog's/cat's food tastes much better
I've tried my dogs' kibble before, tastes like stale, over salted, dried manure.
Dog food in general is salty as fuck.
As long as you don't continue eating it, seems normal enough to me.
Is it normal to try it? What pet owner hasn't. Now if you say you liked it... I might have to rescind my vote
Commercial pet food in the USA and Europe is (supposed) to be made from ingredients suitable for human consumption.
It's not seasoned to appeal to the human palate and it has very low salt and sugar levels, so it's not surprising if it doesn't taste great.
It might be deficient in some vitamins and minerals humans need, but I'm sure you could survive on dog food if there was nothing else available. Cat food I'm not so sure about, since they're carnivores, while dogs are omnivores just like humans.
0.0 I misinterpreted the question and thought you meant you ate snacks made from cats and dogs. Never been so happy to be wrong.
Also, I'd think twice about eating anything made for our pets. Their food hasn't the quality control human food does, and there have been rumors for decades that some may contain, "recycled euthanized pets." It has yet to be definitively proven, but drugs used to euthanize pets have been found in some pet food, which is how the rumors began. Look it up if you don't believe me.
