Is it normal to have trouble breathing with tramadol?
I went to the ER a few days back and they gave me Tramadol, I started to freak out because I couldn't breath correctly. I know it's supposed to make people tired, but is this normal?

Respiratory depression (trouble breathing) is a side effect of Tramadol. If you are experiencing this side efect, discontinue taking the medication until you can talk to a doctor about the issue. If you start to feel dizzy, have changes in skin color, confusion, cough, tachycardia (fast heart beat), shortness of breath or slowing heart beat, you need to see a doctor right away. This may mean going back to the ER or calling 911 (assuming you are in the US).
Tramadol seems to have a negative affect on so many people. I hope you're doing better now.
