Is it normal to have your dog try to eat bees?

My dog, Olive, tries to eat bees... She will go out on the porch and when she sees one she will go into kill mode... It's very intimidating... Is it NORMAL???

She'll eventually learn that eating bees is not a good idea. But you shouldn't encourage her, bees are slowly dying off and should not be killed for amusement.

Be careful, dogs can suffer the same types of reactions as people if stung. Some are allergic just like people.

If your dog managed to provoke a large number of bees and suffer a large amount of bee stings then it could die.

I used to have a dog who ate bees. She ate flies too. It was hysterical. Oh yeah and my cat ate a grasshopper once, but it make her puke.

I had a dog that did this. I was always terrified she'd be stung inside her throat and it would close up and choke her. I taught her to stay away from them in the end.
