Is it normal to hear a light whirring sound when i walk by my lamp?

I have a lamp beside my bathroom, and every once and a while, i hear this light whirring sound coming from it once i pass by. If i try gain, it doesnt work... ... Until later. Any ideas?

    The filaments in the bulb vibrate sometimes. Or if its a fluorescent bulb they buzz when they are about to die. Is it a dimmer switch perhaps? Dirty contacts? I don't know. I'm no expert but there isn't much to go off of here.

    It might be the components/energy reacting to each other. I know that with slightly old-fashioned styled lamps can produce a "crinkling" sound inside the light bulb.
