Is it normal to host a turtle jamboree?

This is your typical arts festival but on a smaller scale.

Does anyone else have these in their towns? Imagine art, music playing, the blues, etc. - add to the mix terrapin turtles and
a competition to see who can sculpt the best turtle.

It really is a lot of fun, I go every year.

So is it normal? have you ever had an arts jamboree in your town?

As long as actual turtles are involved I'm all for it!

    • Yeah!! That's the spirit!

Terrapin turtles are available to be held by visitors as they browse the various stalls and exhibits.

Only a few go missing every year. Not to worry though, I'm sure it's the turtle enthusiasts who sneak them out of the festival!

I'm pretty sure that my state has those types of festivals. My area, strangely enough, never seems to have festivals.

If you want to host a jamboree, do it. I just hope that you are outgoing enough to be able to deal with the people that come.

    • I'm not very outgoing, I usually let the turtles do the talking!

I passed them out at last year's festival. Keeps the socialization to a minimum, as eyes are on the turtles.
