Of the community of people who post here regularly, have you formed a mental image of what any of them look like? When you see a post by any of them, do you go to your vague impression of their appearance? Or are people really just names on a page?
What an interesting topic. Thanks Valkeer, I am flattered. I actually resemble Brian Tee, I have been told.
Yes, I too have conjured up images of some of the posters. Here is my take, and please do not be offended-- this is all in entertainment sense:
AmericanHoney - A cute, tall, twenty-something. Medium complexion, blonde hair, she is a caring nurse but has an independent opinionated facet to her personality. May like badboys?
CarolAnn - Medium height, thin-average build, dark brown hair; either straight or in curls. Prominant nose. Pretty features. Likes dresses. In control when dealing with men, likes one-night stands, spends many nights alone by choice but longs for more deep down.
Dappled - A proud nerd in all sense of the word. Messy, brown hair meets a youthful face with glasses. Likes collared polo-style shirts and tees.
Devilla - A cute, late-teens or early-20's dark/gothic type girl with dark hair and a love for black and purple attire. An enchanting smile, but she always looks like she is up to something. ;)
MissSorel - Tall, brunette or dark redhead, light skin, pretty features. Independent and in touch with emotional aspects of people.
RandomJelly - Medium-to-long blonde hair. Light skin. Pretty features. Very up front, open book, but honest.
Valkeer - Short-to-shaved structured cut, brown hair. Medium-to-tall height. Muscular or athletic build. Quiet but commands attention.
If I can think of any more, I will post.
If I was still 15, you'd have nailed it. My hair was brown and usually messy and I wore glasses. I actually did wear collared polo shirts too.
The dappled I see in the mirror is different now, though. I'm generally in a business suit, my hair is too short to get messy, I usually have stubble, and I wear contact lenses now. My friend says I'm the lovechild of David Duchovny and John Cusack and I got all their combined looks except for the good ones.
Yes. I think that sometimes also. I like to listen to talk radio. When I get to see what they look like later I'm shocked. Fantasy is over!!

I totally see people after a while, and hear their voice.
But... I imagine bananaface to literally be just a smiley face on a banana. :I
i can only do that with sound / voice and yeah as one of the above posters i usually find out they look a lot uglier than i expected
If you remind me of someone I know I start to form a mental image. And depending on how frequent you comment, that image changes with each post.
This is a great and interesting post! Why only 63% normal? This should be 100% normal. It's human nature to be curious about things.
i don't have a picture of me on my profile. if y'all want to know how i look, i'm a short white girl with shoulder-length red hair and blue eyes.
i actually haven't tried to visualize people here. of course, you peeps with piks on your profiles, i know what you look like. :P
I'm like Valkeer - I have an image of some people but not others. I have mental images of devilla, DannyKanes, Valkeer, chaosdragoon, moomus, and lockets, and a very vague one of MissSorel. But there are plenty of people who post here regularly and I just can't conjure up an image for them.

Not really no. I could take a rough guess as to what they look like but the only two I have a solid mental image of is DannyKanes and MercedesBenz.
DannyKanes = Ven Zollow from the Star Wars universe. It's because I knew a guy named Danny who looked like that character so now you have his persona.
MercedesBenz = mature = rich = the actor George Clooney.
Sometimes I think about what they look like and sometimes I attach them to a TV or movie character based on what type of person I think they are.
Yeah! Im doing it right now. I imagine you look like Tim Curry... from the rocky horror picture show.
