During lunchtime, my friends and I sit with really weird people. Whenever there is a new kid, we invite them to sit with us. When we see someone sitting alone we invite them to sit with us. Our table keeps getting larger and larger but we can't help but invite people to sit with us. We hate seeing them sit alone. Is this normal?
Yes :) In high school I always found the weird kids the most interesting. I remember there was a girl in my grade 7 class who always used to sit by herself and people thought she was strange or whatever. I got to know her and she was actually pretty normal. We were in a different class the following year so didn't see each other much but she made new friends and never had to sit by herself again. I don't credit myself for that, but it was good to see :D

My friends always force me to do all the asking though.
But sometimes, the people who are sitting alone are actually waiting for someone.
Like the first time we thought this girl was really lonely and looked sad. So we all decided we would ask her to sit with us. My friends actually chickened out and I did all the asking. Turns out, she was waiting for her boyfriend and her friends. And those people she was waiting for did come.

That's awfully nice of you but stop calling them weird. They aren't a charity case. They are people.

Great!! I wish I knew you when I was in highschool. I was a loner. Didn't fit it with the "IN POPULAR" crowd. Didn't fit on with the outcasts either. People chatted with me but that was it.
I wish you went to my high school. What you do is awesome but no, not normal. Most people don't give a flying fuck about other strangers. If I'm in a good mood I'll talk to a stranger but I generally am too introverted.

i think its a really nice gesture. im happy to see that not everyone in highschool is superficial. i wish there were people like you when i was in highschool
It's normal just make sure they are not to wierd. I love wired people but when they emit to having built a bomb and considered lighting it off in school? Ps I called the police he is now in an intense psyc evelution.
I dont think that its normal but i bet you become pretty damn normal when they start to but the shit out of you. You become very normal i am sure and most likely start to ignore them or avoid them. OR you might just tell then to get the hell away from you in general

Aww that's sweet whenever I try to do that my friends they get angry for trying to invite "freaks or nerds" -_- totally dumb I know it usually doesn't stop me but sometimes their called freaks for a reason XD wish their were more people in high school like you and your friends

I do it all the time! I can't stand it either!!! Buut every now and then there is one you regret, just one so beware!!! Some are alone because ... Well you know they are horribly rude, mean, condescending, belligerent... Yeah those are pretty much the only ones I have ever regretted
