Is it normal to joke that you will eat your dog?

I love animals! They’re fluffy, soft, and huggable. I always joke that I’m going to eat them because theyre so fat (they are not fat), and how I want to make mittens from their ears (I won’t actually do it). I joke about my friend’s cat and how it’s asian/chinese food and they seem to call them that, too (they are a white family). I want to know if other families joke about their pets in a similar manner.

P.S. I’m not racist, but if you can’t take a joke, you haven’t been raised in a multi-cultural community where everyone literally does not care because there are more important things to worry about.

When my cat does bad I threaten to sell her to a chinese restaurant. It scares the cat.

If there is no actual maliciousness then joke away.

  • I’d eat a dog if I knew it was clean. Hell, I’d eat a human if the meat was fresh.

I think it is. I mean I know when something or someone is really adorable or cute you get sort of an uncontrollable urge to bite them.

My dog gets nervous when the subject of chinese restaurants comes up.

Even if i tried to sell him to one, the people working there would say to each other -
Bang yo ying yang wang chang doing boing ping pong ding dong doo...

They they would say to me - "No, not want buy doggie, he too old!"

You should talk to my ISP! Idiots work and live in Australia but can not speak a lick of english. I tell them this and ask for a true born Australian to talk with cause I can not understand their mummble jumble, and all of a sudden I am racist! IDIOTS

Back to your question! Its little weird but who cares there is more important things to worry about.

I had pet chickens that I'd lovingly call Little Bastards and tell them I was gonna eat them. They were wonderful pets. People found it weird that I'd eat store bought chicken, but not them. Sometimes I wish animals didn't die of old age. Lol

My sister calls her toy poodle butter brain, and says that she wants to take a bite out of him. It freaks me out.

First sentence already proves ur fine. If you said you wanted to eat your animal, and you actually did want to eat your animal, that’s a different story.

We used to say we'd cook our dog for a Christmas roast cos she was such a jerk.

I also wanted to call her Stirfry.

Stir fry is a cute name for a dog.

        Thanks :) I thought so.

Instead she got Beefer. Short for Beeferbastard.

        My grandmother is weird.

I don't know. Beeferbastard sounds cute too. Better than Blackie's nicknames(Black Attack, Blackules, Miss Dish, Measles, Blackula, Blackles, Blackness Monster). XD

Black Attack! My sister had a nickname for a rough collie we had, she called her Goof Troop, but her real name was Shawna.

Awww. Shawna is a cute name for a fluffy little collie. Hearing the words Goof troop brings me back to the 90s. Lol
              :)
The Black Attack nickname was because she was always biting my brother when we were kids. He used to like teasing her with the words "I'm back, Blackie!" Or he'd run in circles and sing "I'm running around in circles!" She'd get annoyed and bite him. I found it funny when he got bit. He liked bothering her but I don't think he liked the biting part. Thankfully he eventually grew out of doing that.

Lol. All doggies are shitheads sometimes but I think that's part of why we love them. Not trying to sound cheesy btw. XD
