Is it normal to laugh so hard you're silent?

Ok, so around 4 times a week my best friend and I will think of something or say something really funny. When we laugh at the thing funny, then we look at eachother and see that the other persons laughing really hard, we laugh so hard we go silent! This probably makes no sense to you unless it has happened. Hope you all understand!
But anyways, do other people do this as often as we do?
