Is it normal to lift your feet when you drive over train tracks?

when i was a child i remember being with my aunt and going over train tracks an her telling me to lift my feet. i did and then asked her why. she said it was bad luck. so now i have to every time! i wont even sleep with my feet on the floor in a car if there is a chance of train tracks.

yes its normal, i do it. 64

My friends used to do that. Funk dat shite man. I keep my feet down, I open umbrellas in the house, I walk under ladders, I don't care if a black cat crosses my path either. I live on the freakin edge man! Haha

Just a guess because I have no idea what you look like, but I am very seriously doubting that this is true!

I am too busy having my foot on the gas, to make the others in the car hit their heads on the roof.

When I was little I had friends that did this... The same friends that said you had to hold your breat while driving by a cemetery. I get the feeling it's a fun way to keep kids occupied during trips in the car.

I don't ever do that, but it is normal to pick up strange habits from people. I cannot leave my radio or tv volume on an odd number because it used to massively bother an ex of mine!

Sounds a bit odd but not weird. What happens when you are on a train that crosses switch-back tracks? Hmm

It's superstition and ... if you're driving it's kinda silly.

I don't do this but it is in fact normal to pick up habits from people you looked up to as a child.

One I picked up from my mum is halving Big Macs (bread+meat+bread & meat+bread) and eating one half after the other. I didn't realise it was so weird until everyone I knew started pointing it out.

1st, why did you submit the same comment twice?
2nd, death is a strong thing... Although you don't seem to understand that considering your insane spiral from 'troll' to 'maniac' on Yahoo Answers.

I,ve heard of this. If you don't lift your feet you can get preggers. If you're a dude you can stop doing it.

      O_o

Train tracks don't get you pregnant. Sex does that.

Only when the girls don't want to admit that they've been having sex.

Like the girls who use to say they got pregnant from toilet seats.

          ROFL.
