Is it normal to like awake for hours?
Ok so, recently I've been not sleeping. I will lie down to go to sleep, but I'll just lay in that position until the sun comes up. I don't know why I'm doing this.

Don't trust the results. Right now the majority say it's normal, but I believe they've gotten "normal" confused with "common." Not sleeping all night can have serious impacts on physical and mental health.
Are you taking any medications? This happens to me often, and it's much worse when i'm taking medications. If you are on medecine, you should try to find out if that could be the cause. If you don't take medecine, you should try to find medecine that could help you instead. I suggest trying Melatonin. Its a non-prescription drug that you can find at the grocery. Taking those usually knocks me out in a few minutes when I can't sleep.
If you really are lying awake every second of the night, which I doubt because it's very common to dream or imagine we've had no sleep at all, try getting up and doing something for a while; have a hot milk drink; smoke a joint (that usually works); masturbate ......
You need to work out why this is happening: stress; too much caffeine; medication; physical pain .... and then do something about whatever it turns out to be. In the meantime, if it continues much longer I'd be seeing a doctor for short-term medication to help you sleep easier and resume a regular healthy sleeping routine.
Yes because you are having over 9000 thoughts per second and in this state of mind you can not switch off.
There are alot of things you can do to help you sleep are you trying any of them? Theres meds and exercises and routines where you don't use your bed for anything but sleep.
yeah, it's called a cat-nap. it's just like sleeping, except no crazy girls can cut you up lol.
