Is it normal to like chewing on towels or shirts?

Ever since I was little I had a habit of chewing on my cotton shirt collars. Or towels. White towels mostly. I just liked.. still like the taste! Anybody else ever done this? IIN?

    When I was in my younger teens, I had a habit of chewing on the sleeves of my shirt when I was at the computer (I often wore long sleeves,still do). I don't do it so much anymore, but everyone has their little habits.

    I chew on pencils. I do it without realising, trying to kick the habit though.
