Is it normal to like the air conditioner smell

Completely normal. You likely had a positive, early experience with something or somewhere that smelled like that, and since smell brings back subconscious memories and emotions 6x more effectively than vision, you now really like that smell.
I'm the same way with the smell of dirt and certain basements. Just smells nice to me.

Air conditioning is stinky and horrible.

The smell of vehicle air conditioning makes me feel queasy sometimes. My home unit doesn't do it, but I don't necessarily like the smell.
I prefer fresh air or the smell of the beach.

I guess it's normal as I really like the smell of an open freezer or the smell right before it snows.

Unsure how the AC smell there, but I honestly hate the stale air that is pumped out of mine one for the first 2 seconds or so. It smells like a public pool changing room.

I don't think that it's normal but I appreciate the contrast when I step from a stuffy, stale aired environment into a nice, ventilated area.

Granted, my car AC smells like the little burnt wire in my dash.
