Is it normal to live in the past?

I was born in the late 1960's, a child of the 1970's and 1980's became an adult in the 1990's, and now I'm 43 years old and I find that sometimes my mind wonders back in time to the 1970's when I think times were better. I had my nan and also my Dad was still alive,I was still at school and safe at home with my family, what a comfort zone! The music was much better then and so was film and TV, not like it is now! I only like 60's 70's and 80's music, hate most of the 90's and todays music?..don't bother! I like modern technoligy, like the mobile phone and the internet, but music and TV these days is so rubbish, is this normal?

Seems pretty normal to me. Unless it becomes obsessive or something. I too find myself often thinking about the past more so then the present or future. Specifically my highschool years. I have a lot of regrets and wish I did a lot of things differently.

    You're damn right!
The music & tv, movies, suck today.
    No originality.
In society- Bunch of wackjob mass killers or pervs everywhere...
I read the news and sometimes feel like I'm Marty living in Back to the Future part 2 's altered reality when Biff ran the city!! & I need to find Doc & fix the Flux Compacitor to put life back to how it should be!

It's hard to be an adult - I'm about the same age and miss the days when I was in school and didn't have to worry about bills, jobs, etc. Also, you are right about tv and music. I can't stand the reality shows, they are dumbing down society - how do people find them entertaining?
