Is it normal to look young?

I'm 19 and in my third year of college, but everytime I go to a store during the day time of the week, people stop and constantly ask me why I'm not in school. I've been told that I look 15, and I know it's a good thing to look young for when you're older, but I really hate it. I hate having to see all the younger girls around me and in my classes look older than me. I always get dirty looks when I'm on campus for looking young, as if they catergorize that as me being pompous. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is this normal?

I look young and I'm a senior in college. I went to a car dealership recently to ask about a car and they asked where my parents are. ha! I've never gotten angry about it though...its just funny. Embrace it! As far as the dirty looks...it seems like most college kids have a scowl on their face at any given time of the day so I wouldn't read that much into it. You're out of high school...I wouldn't worry too much what other people think because more than likely they're thinking about an assignment they forgot to do instead of thinking "hey that girl looks young." Get over yourself.

Well, while everyone else has wrinkles, you'll still be looking young.

Wow. I'm just about the same as you. I'm 19 and people always think I'm like 15 or 16 years old. It makes me mad sometimes.. I guess when we're older it will work to our advantage though ;) lol

I had the same problem. At age 20 people thought I was 14 to 15, I got bullied and excluded by my peers for it and ended up being alone for two years during my college course. Don't even ask how females reacted when I acted on my sexual urges :(.

At 23/24 I was still getting guessed at 17. By 26/27 people thought I was 20. At 30 people thought I was 21/22. I was even carded at 32 years old when buying a kitchen knife set!

All is good now though, I'm 35 but pass as 27-28'ish. I suppose that's a good thing.

I know what you mean last February I'm at Macy's and the lady there ask me do I want to open up a credit card with the store and I said no but before I could say anything she said our you at least 18 years old or close to it. I was shocked when she said that because I'm like I'll be 22 this year. But I thought about it I'm like how else am i supposed to look? I'm aging the way that I am and I can't do anything about it. When I was 17 people thought I was older, what a trip huh?

Who cares? This used to bother me, too, but now I'm in my early 30's and look 23, which is great! Also, because you are so young, the difference between 15 and 19 seems huge, but it's not. Not at all. The "younger girls" at school aren't "younger" enough to make any difference! Lap it up, you could look 40!
