    movies from the 40s are better

    more relatable stars more plots available due to the war and the studios grew up and perfected theys craft

    top rated 30s is gone with the wind & wizard of oz
    top rated 40s is casablanca & citizen kane

    its no contest

      All good films. Ever seen any of the 1930s Busby Berkeley films with Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler, like 42nd street or Dames? I adore Ruby Keeler and think she is really an angel, never been another women with so much purity, love, and genuine sweetness. It's not a lust kind of love with Ruby Keeler, it's an almost angelic heavenly kind of love.

    I know it wasn't the 30's but I really liked The Twilight Zone especially the movie of the same name. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

    I still watch reruns when they come on the tube. There are probably lots of episodes on YouTube and lots of other places on the Web.

    I vote yes. People actually took pride in the way they dressed and didn't treat putting on something other than sweatpants like a chore. Most people today dress like colorblind street bums. The decade of the 30s had its downsides like any other era, but it was definitely a simpler time with better music and fashion.

    I love the essence of the 70s and 80s but whoulf I want to live in that time? NO! But yeah, we as humans tend to like pop culture from the decades.

      Flappers were the partying good time girls of the speakeasies of the 1920s, the women of the 1930s were more loving passionate romantic girls. I also loved those beautiful, floorlength gowns that a lot of them wore
