Is it normal to love bombard/parody the internet nostalgia movement?

We all know there's a large nostalgia movement for the 90's and early 2000's online. Sometimes I like to parody it by saying stuff like "I'll be showing some kids some classic [80's/90's/early 00's] cartoons. Is [extremely graphic anime] a good one?", or frequently do a comparative post comparing a retro kid's cartoon and a mature show that came out the same year (ex. "Courage the Cowardly Dog or Fight Club"). I'm also planning to do a "Were you a kid of the 1890's?" video.

The reason why is because I'm trying to parody the comments of many nostalgic people online. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I just love poking at it so much, and somehow I feel that I'm proving that the adult world existed during their and my own childhood. Is this normal?

  • I don't think anyone here is a kid of the 1890s.
