Is it normal to love god but not religion?

Not only normal, but last time I saw stats, by far the fastest growing group by religious belief in the US were those who did not believe in organized religion. Some of them believe in God still, but not he religious dogma.
I never grew apart from any of my peers due to religious beliefs since most of my friends have been very open minded on the subject, but I too am a nonreligious person who believes in God ( and i use that term loosely because i don't think there's any way of actually knowing what, why, how, who, where and when God actually is).
I too, have issues with religion. Most religions have this "you must believe this way" mode of worship. Then that mode of worship is directed by someone (human) to spread hate and bigotry. Most religions say they are religions of love, but that is the last thing you think of when you see these people outside a place of worship.Religions seem to be attempting to exclude rather than love and include everyone.
That being said, Yes it is absolutely normal.
Totally normal I think. I don't follow any one religion or spiritual belief. I kind of have my own I've pieces together through observations I've made over the years I've been on this earth. And "God" is a lot of things in it, or in my life. Like love. Ambition. And passion. It involves reincarnation by choice. If u don't, your spirit will live in this world but in a lower energy spectrum that we can't see or sense normally. When you don't wanna be in this world (ghosts), you can shape that energy to your will (heaven/hell). People often wait for their loved ones to join them before they decide to reincarnate. And if you were a bad person in your previous life you come back as a worm or something. If you were good, you choose what and where. But not exactly who. These organized religions with all their colorful imagery and tall tales are really attention grabbing and entertaining, but probably complete bullshit.
All type of religions sucks these are actually man made set of do's and don'ts ,non of them make sense .....
However there must a force who created this cruel world one should try to understand that force rather than bullshit man made religions ......
I feel the same way, I believe in GOD but I don't like religious rules and how they make GOD seem mean then good. Wth!
See, just another in a long list of reasons to end religion and put to rest this childish idea that there is this supreme being out there with unlimited power, but it won't lift a finger to protect children, the weak or the impoverished from their horrible, unnecessary fates.
I can't help but feel that your views on God and religion are more personal than objective. Yes, there are flaws with religion, but there are good things about it too. I think humanity could go a lot further if we could all detach ourselves from any negative emotions we've associated with both religion and non-religion and just be able to discuss these concepts unemotionally. I never understood why people feel the need to argue and debate religious/nonreligious beliefs when it's so much more fulfilling to philosophize them.
