I love listening to my teachers as they lecture. I love taking notes, learning about fantastic things, and all the in-class assignments they give. But when it comes to homework and studying, I feel like stabbing myself in the head.
Yes, you are normal.
I don't think anyone likes doing homework. But it is a necessity. It is kind of like paying taxes, taking out trash or doing laundry, just something that needs to get done.
It is incredible how hard it can be to study sometimes. When you have one of those times it is best to take breaks, get up, go out get away from it for a few minutes and see if your mental fatigue of it goes away a little bit.
Motivation is helped greatly by your fascination with the subject matter, that is 100% true. But stay after it. If you fall out of practice with study, you will have a hard time with it. I know I do. I used to be able to study in my dorm with all kinds of noise and crap going on. The apocalypse could be unfolding right there in my dorm and if it was important for a major exam, I could ignore it. Now, forget it. I have to have near total silence when I review journal articles, publications or dissertations dealing with Chemistry. So stick with it. Take smaller bites at it as well. Don't procrastinate.

The only time I feel like making effort to do research and homework is if I'm really interested in a subject.
To be honest, I spend most of my time researching my obsessions, so school work is on the back-burner!

Totally normal, I've always been the same way. Even now I'm taking an online Spanish class. I have such a passion for learning languages, but studying gets boring because I pretty much know my stuff. But I have to keep studying because I want to be more fluent.
Sooo like me! I hate doing homework, I hardly ever do homework! Its sickening to me but I do love learning new things. I'm actually forcing myself to do homework now but I'm here =P
Normal. I love learning for the sake of learning...I hate being tested...
I never minded it. To me it was exciting getting to overcome new work and the sense of accomplishment it brought.
I would like studying even more, if there weren't so many other things to do. I get distracted so easily, especially by IIN. Ha, ha, ha!
