Is it normal to love the smell of a new book?
I love sniffing new books. It turns me on in a nerdy kinda way.

I love the smell of new and old books. I used to be able to tell the decade of a book (60s - present) just by smell. My favourite was from the 70s. IMO that's a lot less normal than liking the smell of new books.
It's the smell of the printer's ink that used to get me, but books don't smell as they used to. I used to inhale deeply walking past a newspaper office or a print shop but now it's all phocopiers, not the same any more ....
I do love to open up a brand new book no-one else has read, but usually buy second hand ones which sometimes have very strange smells
