Is it normal to love your pet more than people

To an extent, yes. I'm guessing you probably have a homebody nature, which is definitely normal. However, if you get to the point where you're telling your actual friends or family that you can't see them because you have to watch tv with your dog, that's probably not healthy. However if someone you don't like asks you to do something, by all means tell them you made plans with your dog and you just can't break them. :-)

I have a gray cat who kicks ass. I definitely prefer her over most humans.

There is nothing better than spending time with someone who doesn't judge you :). My dog is always happy to see me and is my best friend.

TLC should do a new programme about people who prefer & choose the company of their pets over any companionship with other humans. Extreme pet-lovers are fairly common, but I believe the majority of people like other people as well as their pets.

Of course. Animals may not be able to communicate like humans, but they can't hurt you like a human can. Plus they're cute! ^_^

I have a lot of pets (over 100) including dogs a cat and reptiles. I also have 3 kids. Aside from spending time with my kids which I prefer over all, I like spending time with my pets. I prefer then to a lot of humans. Yes I have friends and regular contact with people but my pets don't judge or run people down! I have a python called lulu and just sitting with her is more calming than being with a lot of humans!!

Liking a pet more than the ones in your life that are closest to you.. (Siblings, mother and father) No that's not normal.

But liking your pets more than most of the "I shall be quick to judge" and other annoying dipshits out there who think they can tell you what to do?.. Yes, very normal indeed.

I know a woman who loves her dogs so much she spoils them and talks to them like they understand. I guess that wouldn't be a bad thing, but she doesn't pick up thier shit in her back yard, or mop her floors (she keeps them in the house and sleeps with them in her room). Messed up, it is.

Yes! I love all 3 of my dogs and all 9 of my cats! They are part of the family and are always there to comfort you when you're feeling down!
