Is it normal to meow randomly when speaking but hate cats?

I've gotten into the habit of meowing when I speak but I absolutely hate cats.
Example:
Person: Want to go to the movies?
Me: Meow?...when?
Person: Tomorrow.
Me: meooowwww....sure! meow meow meow
I've been trying to stop because I'm starting to do it in front of non friends but it just comes out!!!

    I know it's very childish. I was actually having a meowing competition with my 3-year-old nephew when this habit came about. I'm not playing around when I said I want to quite. I'm actually really embarrassed when it accidentally slips out. It's sort of like how people repeatedly say ''like'' all the time.
    P.S. I've had bad experiences with cats...I like kittens tho.

      No its not normal. This is silly and seems like you do it deliberate since its funny. Its not a huge deal but it does seem very immature. Therapist maybe or just force yourself to stop?

        Not fake :3 it's been 2 years since I posted this and I still meow. Some of my friends do it too :3 I find it pretty common with people in the anime fandom (which I'm a part of) meow meow ;) I've embraced it.

          People in the anime genre do it because it is cute. Anime characters do it because it is suppose to be cute and I believe its suppose to mimic a cat. So it is very simple. YOU JUST STOP DOING IT! You are not a cartoon.

            Why thank you captain obvious, I know very well that I am not. It's become so much of my character that I don't want to stop. Trust me, it does not sound so strange in person. Only when conversing with a friend, of course.

    hey, i met a really cool girl that we kinda have a on/off again relationship (she lives a lil too far to be practical) by doing this exact thing. but i love cats, so that makes u wierd.
