Is it normal to move from smoking cigars and cigarettes to smoking pipes?
I'm not normal, but I must learn what's normal incase I have to be normal to save my life. Sure I still sniff snuff, but I no longer smoke cigs, cigars and rollies (cigarettes you roll yourself out of a special paper), I now smoke only pipes (with pipe tobacco whenever possible). I find cigarettes disgusting, cigars are a luxury and I must, by what my religion implies, abstain from luxury whenever possible (I'm moderately ascetic). Pipes are better, and American pipe tobacco is better (and cheaper) than the Australian one. I order pipe tobacco from the internet (key card ready), and it's not just a plain tobacco I order, it's cherry-flavoured which is a good substitute for cherise cigars because I won't smoke them for a long time. I don't believe something as gross as cigarettes and cigars are easy on the throat (makes me cough too much), no offence to anyone involved but pipes are safer than the both of them! And it will last longer, but, in the meantime I'll simply buy rum and wine flavoured hand-rolling tobacco and put it in my pipe while I wait nearly 3 weeks for my pipe tobacco. I'm a traditionalist therefore smoking a pipe is more traditional. Only later on in 1500s colonisation of White man were the North American Indians found smoking cigarettes wrapped in corn husks instead of thin paper, which the French invented, and those strange little things they called cigarettes. But with respect for tradition I smoke using a corn cob pipe, the most interesting hobby in the world isn't the cool-looking cigs, but smoking a pipe, this is another reason why I no longer smoke cigs and cigars, is this normal?
