Is it normal to name animals after your fav. book?

i have two 3 month old kittens, both are named after my favorite book (wolf woman by sherryl jordan) the male is gibrian and the female is shula. just had to ask. i also have a 3 y/o dalmatian named mumble (happy feet) because as a puppy she looked like a baby penguin.

    I think it's cute to name your pets after characters you love. One time my cat had kittens while I was obsessed with the anime Inuyasha and my friend told me to name a kitten after one of the characters. So I named him Miroku. However nobody in my family could pronounce it correctly so eventually we started calling him Mr. Goats.

      Oh yeah and one of my mom's coworkers named his dog after Capt. Jack Sparrow.

    I totally agree with you, almost all of my pets are named after a characters in ether a movie or a book. I pick there names because i believe that they have same characteristics.

    I had two kitten's a ginger and a black 1 where named after sampson (ginger) and other delililah (black) off of emmerdale I were obsessed with them
