Is it normal to name your car?

When my sister got her first car, a Honda, she called it 'Suzie' and she loved it. Some years ago I bought a Monday morning / Friday afternoon car brand new, and was never away from the dealership getting it fixed. I called it 'Christine', after Stephen King's awful car. I now drive a Suzuki but don't have a name for it.

Is it normal to have a pet / hate name, for your vehicle?

    My cars name is bonny and my boyfriends cars name is clyde (: we say our cars are dating and when he comes over we always park them like they are kissing (:

        I call mine Meri (Mary), since she is a Mercedes. Not a very original name, but I like it. I also call my dad's Subaru - Scooby! :D
        My girlfriend doesn't name her car, but I dubbed it "Slowbox", since it only has a underpowered 1.2L engine :D

    A mate called his the pimp chariot, it was a bit of a pig. When he came to sell it he actually wrote pimp chariot for sale, 0-60 in 90 seconds.

    I love naming inanimate objects! My first car was Benderlynx, my second was Steve (such a pretty name) my third I hated too much to name, my fourth was Blue and my current is Poppy BECAUSE IT'S RED! I am so creative <3

    I've got an 1993 VW Polo 86C (German import) and I call it "Beat-Mobile", because the speakers are screwed and makes a rough sound while I play music too loud

    When I was really little, I named a car that my mom drove Doomie because that was the name of the car that Beetlejuice drove in the Saturday morning cartoon (I was so obsessed with that show). But other than that my mom usually nicknames all her cars "Betsy" for some reason.

            You're a rare one! Most women don't care for it. I love it but I normally keep quiet because it just makes people roll their eyes.

            As for my catty companion, your services may be called upon soon. I've never had a cat, although I've always got along very well with them. I think I've finally decided I could be a cat owner. Or a cat could be my owner, which is probably closer to the truth. :)

    My old friend named her car Leon. It's Noel backwards and when she was a kid her mom had a little shelf decoration that said it. Not sure why it was so special to her but that's her own thing.
    I know a few of my other friends named their cars but I can't remember the name.
    Where I'm from, it's normal.

    Yeh I have Leo and Froggy for my two cars, and back in the day when I was a probationary driver I had this shitbox Ford Telstar called Melvin.
