Is it normal to never have really gotten into twitter?

Everywhere these days, you hear or see "Follow us on Twitter!" I've also seen stories about Twitter like it's the latest trend. So eventually after all I've heard about Twitter being so great, I decided to set up an account. I added some of my friends on there. However, I found out that on Twitter (aside from decorating your page with a cool background) all you do is upload a picture of yourself and update your status, and that's all. (Somebody described it as being Facebook statuses without the rest of Facebook). After about a month or so I deleted my Twitter account because I just did not see what was so great about it. Is it normal to think that Twitter is overrated?

    I think Twitter is boring too. Apparently so boring that my school filtered out Facebook and Tumblr, but left Twitter since most people don't use it.

    It's normal. You're not required to use social networking sites. I personally love Twitter though lol

    yeah i dont understand the point of it either. so i would say you are normal but some people who live by twitter could say otherwise. but who cares what they think. do what you want.

    I have twitter an I use it to know what's up with celebs but if you don't like it then it's your opinion, completely normal.

    I never had a twitter. Even my mom has one, although she only got it to get coupons. I liked myspace better because it was fun to decorate your profile and have music playlist. But I guess people are lazy now -.-

    I have a twitter. I only use it too see if there's anything cool going on. Like every once in a while some big company will have a giveaway or something. So thats why I use it.
