Is it normal to not care about thos?

I have always been a really good student, made straight A's, etc. Currently I am competing for a scholarship, so I've been working extra hard. There is a certain assignment for my literature class that I have. It's a short paper, a page and a half, that I have to write. But I absolutely don't care about finishing it. I couldn't care less if it gets done or not. It's just this one assignment that I don't care about, I have been stressing out about other papers. What's with me?? Is this normal??
