    You have four options:

A)You go to college and become succesful in life making $50,000+.

B)You dont go to college and flip burgers for the rest of your life making less than $10,000 a year.

C)You rely on your parents to buy you food and provide you shelter until they die.

D)You sell your ass on the street for money and live off that.

Well I did not go but I don't have the greatest job. Though its very difficult since half the schools in my country are frauds and don't have any accreditation. Which is so irritating. Though if you cant go into business. A lot of entrepreneur make businesses with nothing but a high school diploma.

College is becoming too important... It used to be, you wanted a specific job, so you went to school to learn for that specific job. Now, you go just to get a job in the first place. I know too many people with degrees and certifications flipping burgers right next to people who never had the opportunity.

I've chosen not to go because it was far too expensive for me, and I didn't want to put my husband and myself into deep debt.

but life isnt always about just making money or being "successful"
college teaches you a lot more than just knowledge and technical skill, you discover yourself, you learn to be independent. it forces you out of you comfort zone and challenges you to be your absolute best, you meet some of the most amazing people, people from all over the county/world who have the same interests or talents as you, and you get to get to live out of the house away from your parents with all of your friends.
i know its hard to get into, and to pay for, college but its always worth a try. the work is hard but its fulfilling and its a big change but it is a wonderful adventure.

College is only one place you can accomplish all that though. You could join the military. You could move to another town or state. You can get married and start a family.

  • Meh you don't need college to be succesful in life. You can pick a trade and do way more money than people who spend 5 years in college. Look at teachers barely make 40k a year and spend almost 5 years in college?

    You got two options:

    1) work for someone else - get a trade, get some education, it'll help you get paid more.

    2) work for yourself - do whatever you want. However, depending what you do sometimes people like to see that you're educated (Dr. Phil anyone?)
