Is it normal to not make friends in college?

I'm ending my sophomore year of college this may and i still haven't made one friend. I drive from home to school, so I don't live in the dorms. I'm in a club and have attended school activities, but every one seems to already have friends and not notice me. I have avoidant personality disorder and it makes making friends really hard. The only people i talk to are my boyfriend, family and coworkers at work. I'm worried that I'm completely alone on this.

I didn't really make any friends in college either. There are some people I would call acquaintances, but not true friends. I tend to make better friends with the people I work with. There were a few of my friends that I did happen to go to college with as well, but we didn't really become friends until after we worked together. In college, even though I tried to be nice towards people, I mostly just did my own thing (and that was ok). College, at least for me anyway, was a mostly independent experience. I was that way in high school too, but it wasn't accepted the same way.

I miss my college days, those were probably the best days of my life. I had good friends, I was studying something in which I believed and working in my field. If I could go back to those days in Monroe, Louisiana I would in a heartbeat... in a heartbeat!😢

It happened to me too and I attended two quarters. I think only one person talked to me.
