Is it normal to not understand Gen z humour?
Did you know some people are trying to get boomer recognised as a slur, as well as Karen (as in “let me speak to the manager” Karen)?
Oh my GYOD, I went to school with this one chick who was a bitch. Well more than one... ANYways...
I somehow came across her on FB and she is the textbook example of a Karen.
Let me tell you, as a Gen X'er, the "Karen" stereotype of middle aged bitchy white women with THAT hairstyle, it is SOOOO true!
As a “gen-z-er”, that’s ridiculous. No one uses it as slur. It’s a joke, sarcasm at most maybe. More often than not, it’s used to poke fun at adults/older people doing incredibly stupid crap.
Ahahaha ppl are too sensitive. So what if it is a slur? Does that give them extra victim points? Lol
A lot of the Gen Z humour tends to be very liberal-minded, which I dislike with a strong passion, so I can understand why you don't find it funny either.
Gen Z has more conservatives than any generation before them. Still people are more liberal when they are young, this is because they havent been kicked in the teeth by reality yet. As gen Z gets older the conservative side will become larger. We know where the millenials fucked up.
I disagree, sure we are more conservative than millenials but hardly anyone I know is as conservative as me and I am not ultra conservative. Maybe they play it close to the vest but I doubt it. The looks of disdain I get from espousing conservative values says it all.
I'm gen Z and even I'm starting to get confused by our humour. I'm only 18 and I already feel so old because I just don't understand what's so funny about current memes. I don't even know what current memes are. Latest meme I can think of is like... American Dad speedruns and big chungus.
Generation Z humour, to me, seems incredibly pessimistic, depressing and just all around nihilistic somehow. However, it also seems far less " politically correct " than millennial humor.
I don't really give a shit what generation a form of humour originates from. If it's funny I laugh. If it's not I don't.
