Is it normal to not want to think

Stressful school year just ended. I tried to do some hobbies for summer such as learning a new language or writing fics but I can't muster up the need to do it. I have a very strong urge to not use up anything that requires critical thought and just spend the rest of my time playing mind-numbing mobile games. Even when I have nothing to watch and play, I still try to find a way instead of doing what I should do.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I really wanted to learn how to do certain things, but when I had just finished school I basically put everything on hold and did nothing but a paint by number.

Im the same way. I hate doing tedious things that makes me have to sit and think.

It's normal. I absolutely love learning about new things that interest me, but it was years after I finished school before I got into learning again. School really does kill your love of learning.

I get the idea, I definitely get the idea because I did that same thing. But you have to be careful because the brain is a muscle, and if you don’t exercise it you can lose your brain strength.

Do you play any puzzle games? Or even have any puzzles? It sounds lame but that’s that kinda of numbing-yet-working thing that might be good for you
