I love to make up ideas for stories and movies and I've thought of several really good ones. I can write a full plot but I can't turn it into a finished work. I don't have that type of writing talent. IIN?
I want to actually finish some stories! Do writers work together sometimes?
Any suggestions?
I can only keep the skeleton, because the fleshy parts get all stinky and da neighbours be all like "It be all stinky up in here".
Ideas are a dime a dozen. Writing takes hard work, and both devolved and natural talent. Just try to write SOMETHING. Try a short story with a simple plot and move up. Trying to just go and write a novel rarely results in success.
you know what? writing is like any skill- youl be horrendous at first but youl improve with practice, and yes you can work with other authors but your ideas might clash with theirs
I often have this problem. If you don't mind sharing some of the credit at the end than you should try to find someone who can help you a long the way. I don't mean write the whole thing for you but someone who can give you some way of turning your smaller ideas into a larger one.
Dude. Are we like, the same person? Cause I have the EXACT same problem. I have the basic skeleton, or at least major parts of the skeleton all lined up, but I can never flesh it out for one reason or another. I'm so glad I'm not the only person who feels this way >.<
Reading can help a lot when it comes to writing. It can show you different styles and different ways of describing things. Maybe you could take a writing class or two to help you expand on your writing abilities. You should definitely consider strengthening your writing skills, because I am sure that your ideas are fantastic.
