Is it normal to only get emotional stimulation from animals?

I need to interact with animals often because they are the only way I can experience emotions. When I see an animal it's like a spark goes off inside me and I must get to know it. I observe the animal and I kind of feel like I connect with it mentally. Animals allow me to feel a full range of emitions from joy to curiosity to rage. I don't get that with people. I'm not curious about people nor do they inspire any feelings in me.

I'm not one of those people who think animals are better than humans. I'm not a misanthrope. I just simply get emotional stimulation from animals only. I am really in tune with animal behavior and I know I can sort of communicate with them by easily predicting their state of mind and movements and replying with the proper body language and movements of my own. IIN?

(with the exception of most birds....I don't understand the majority of you guys!!)

    • Yes I get a full range of strong emotions from animals. Some animals do piss me off, it's true. Some are real dicks!

Do you think you humans could provoke feelings in you too if they were very cute and never spoke?
I can kinda relate to you. Animals don't judge.

Animals can't speak but they can communicate. And animals do judge people, just not in the same way that humans do. For example some dogs will like you and some dogs will not.

    • It's not a humans vs animals thing. I don't dislike humans they just don't stir emotions in me virtually at all. I don't like all animals, as I said animals inspire a full range of emotions in me including bAd ones.

      • Ok. I just know somebody who uses this site and likes animals more than people but hates birds.

        • I don't hate birds, I just don't understand them (with the exception of chickens, turkeys and peacocks). I'm not sure if I'd say I like animals more than people. With people I just feel blah. No positive or negative feelings. With animals I generally form a strong feeling of how much I like or dislike them and I am aware of how much they affect my happiness (good or bad) and with people these feelings just don't develop at all and people generally don't affect my mood. I can easily ignore people but I can't ignore animals.

I didn't choose to be like this or become this way because people treated me poorly. I just can't resist animals. because it lets me feel feelings
