Is it normal to only like songs from a specific area like say the 80's?

so it all started in grade 4 when my teacher showed up the safety dance(i know lame right) but i started to grow this amazement with that kind of music(80's). now i rarely listen to things out of the time and i only dabble in like really early 90's some songs now but not really at all.

Everyone has different music preferences and tbh I don't blame you, chart music these days are full of horse shit. 80s is where it's at 😄

Agreed, it's so bad today. Every song sounds exactly the same and there's very little creativity (in mainstream music anyway)

I get bored of everyone modelling themselves on Ed Sheeran, who is overrated as fuck already.

I used to kinda like Ed Sheeran, but tbh he's really annoying now.

It's just a preference. Completely normal. I'm sure a lot of others feel the same.

I think so, if you like certain things that were trending at particular times (like a certain kind of beat or particular genres). It might also be nostalgia.

I love a lot of 90s music personally.
