Is it normal to organize and bake fragrances?

Before I leave for a nice, relaxing shower, I often find myself progressing through a system I like to call "baking scents."

The process begins with a number of various air-freshening sprays; currently, I'm using powder, lavender vanilla, and something from Glade named "Cool Serenity." It's a combination of peony flower, "soothing waters," and sandalwood.

Once all the necessary ingredients are established, I spray these in an organized fashion around the room - A powder base on the floor and fabrics, followed by five vertical sprays of lavender vanilla (four along each corner of the room and one directly in the center). After a few seconds of dissipation, I then garnish the room with Cool Serenity, being sure to evenly administer the fragrance into the air.

Next, I'm faced with one of two options: to either "bake" it all while I shower, or leave the room "raw." This is an important step, as it determines the temperature and scent the final product takes on. Even while under the minute heat of a table lamp light, each fragrance will change significantly. Raw rooms are simply left without the aid of artificial lighting. Whichever I choose honestly depends on which type I'm in the mood for.

I then click on a common fan for circulation and thorough combination of the various fragrances. This would likely make the process seem closer to rotisserie cooking, but I prefer the term "baking." It falls more gently on the ear, and it excites the stomach less. Once the fan is running, it's only sensible to then close the bedroom door (much like an oven door) and finalize preparations. All that's needed afterwards is to enjoy my shower, soon to return to a welcoming and fresh-smelling environment!

Now that I've given this explanation, the question is turned to you: Is it Normal to Organize and Bake Fragrances? Thanks for listening and sharing your time here.

I'm sorry, IIN. I'd never meant for this story to be offensive in the least!
Will you ever forgive me? = (

This is very interesting. Why don't you take your "baking and raw" obsessions and make perfume?

I'm surprised you haven't gassed yourself to death.

I'd be worried about inhaling all those chemicals.

    Please don't kill yourself :-S

The chemicals have plenty a chance to settle and thin out while I'm in the shower, so by the time I'm out, enough chemicals have already slipped under the door and/or been carried off by the air conditioner. That's why I layer them so thickly at first.

No worries, it's all a part of the plan! =)
