Is it normal to panic over a university application?

I really want to do this degree but I am having unbelievably bad luck with getting any referees. So far I got one but today I found out that one is sick. I also emailed a few other former tutors/teachers but either they are taking a yearlong break from work and I therefore can't reach them or they just haven't replied. As my parents don't have any friends I can't use any family friends either. To make matters worse I've had to do university and school by distance, and therefore don't really interact with my tutors there. Now I'm really panicking and can't even distract myself from worrying about this anymore. Is it normal to panic this much over a university application?

Nope I haven't had the money to anything besides school, and I'm not religious either. All this just adds to my problem.

Dad's right. Have you participated in something besides school? Sports....clubs....church? Leadership within extracurricular activities and religious faiths are also great references. Most schools would like to see a more well-rounded application anyway.

Call the university, they will have some type of mentor there that helps (or becomes) this for you.
