Is it normal to pee in a cup?

Our bedroom is on the second story, but there is no bathroom on this level. My husband, who's in his mid 30s, is too lazy to get up and walk to the bathroom late at night, overnight, or in the morning. For this reason, he keeps a cup on our dresser for the express purpose of peeing in it to avoid the trip downstairs. When the cup is full enough, he dumps it out of our bedroom window, enough to cause a patch of grass to be brown for the past 2 years. When the mood strikes, he instead slings (he insists I use this word) the stale urine atop our next door neighbor's roof, because we hate her and also I suspect because he likes watching the splash. It this normal?

Maybe he's scared of the dark. Suggest night lights. But I bet that gets to be a pretty rank smell in your bedroom. I hope you don't have kids that will pick up that habit. Hell a funnel and a piece of old garden hose, a couple hose clamps and he could have an upstairs urinal going to either outside or to toilet downstairs. I really would not suggest that. Make him walk his lazy ass down stairs. It seems he has forgotten the "Golden Rule" of marriage. "If Momma (you) ain't happy, ain't nobody gonna be happy". You could make life hellish until he gets the hint to start using bathroom. Or hire a contractor to build you an upstairs potty room.

No, leaving toothpaste in the sink, or leaving the toilet seat up is normal. This...no just no. I feel so bad for you lol.

I sense your emptiness on this. Perhaps his and hers cups would get you in the game.

More common than you think. I keep a plastic coffee container in my home office, in event I'm on a call or busy, and, if have to pee..Use it, then dump it out when I'm done working. As long as he doesn't leave it there wet, and it stinks, no big deal. Guys are lazy and will piss anywhere.

Sure, i do this but instead i use a big glass, not because i'm lazy but due to urinary incontinence caused by the medication i'm taking. My girlfriend is totally disgusted by this and i have to hide the glass from her. Throwing the urine in the backyard is totally not normal and downright gross and uncivilized, especially doing it to the neighbours.

They have mattresses with embedded toilets now, no need to get up.

I think it's normal to pee in a cup due to laziness, but throwing it out the window is completely unnecessary.

Do it too. Double splash, more fun.

the last guy that didnt do this , walked sleepy don the stairs and fell breaking his neck. Now he just pisses in his bead and his wife has to change his diapers. she looks out the window and the brown spot on the grass is green again. And the neighbor that neither of you like now has a brown spot on her lawn thats getting bigger.
