Is it normal to play nintendo game in public?

I'm a grown adult and I carry my Nintendo 3DS with me to play it while there's empty period of time I need to wait.

I personally feel like it's no different than someone playing a game on their phone. But I only see children play their game - not so much adults. There are tons of gamers out there; they're just in the closet.

But I'm socially normal and when I'm with people I focus all my attention on them. And I don't take it out in a restaurant or anything. But if I'm waiting for someone or something, and I have 10 mins to kill, I'll play it in public.

Do people view this as wierd or childish?

    Pretty normal. Age restrictions shouldn't apply for video games you enjoy playing, especially if gaming is one of your past-times.

    Do not worry. Nintendo and other videogames are for all ages. Keep playing happily and don't mind about it.

    Of course its normal, games are great and not restricted to children. They are meant for entertainment and fun breaks outside of reality and they do that insanely well. If anyone calls it childish, remind them of the team of adult composers, story writers, programmers and artists who spent years of hard working late nights making just one game.

    If this isn't normal than all those people on their phones are weird.
    Of course it's normal! If someone asks you why you're playing your 3DS, ask them how they're doing in candy crush saga!

    Ds, dsi, and 3ds suck. The Gamecube was the last good Nintendo console.

    The difference between playing games on your phone and on a DS is that everyone already carries a phone.

    Phone. Wallet. Keys. Those are the essentials. Most adults would feel uncomfortable about carrying around extra videogames with them just to play on.

    Its normal to play tennis in public isn't it? Of course you cant carry around a tennis court and a tennis ball around so play things u like whenever possible life is short remember

        I like advance wars and golden sun! It's an American thing where people look at u funny. They're everywhere in Japan. They actually market adult only DS games. Dating games where you can have sex on a DS lol
