Is it normal to pluck/pull out pubic hairs with hands/fingers?

This is a very different post, but I decided to give it a shot. So, basically as a "habit" of mine, I pluck/pull out my pubic hairs with my fingers. It's comforting for me, that's all I can really say about it. I probably sound very weird, I know. I'm just curious if maybe you could relate, or possibly tell me it's bad, and why it is? I feel a bit alone on this one for some reason.

Omg, i thought i was the only person on earth that did this. I dont know why i can easily pull hair from down there with out it hurting, and it actually became a habbit for me as well. Before i jumpin the shower i would stand there and pull at them before i jumped in lol sounds weird but i cant help it and even when i n bed or something i would pull out a big bunch witch is totally wrong on so many levels and i would show my partner and hell ask where all of its from and il be like down there and hes looking at me like WTF. Lol good part about it was not having to shave cos i have pulled most of it out lol, but i was also starting to wonder if it is normal or could it mean cancer so i started to google it lol.

    • Dang well, I don't pull mine out so much where most of it is out. I guess it depends how much you have but yeah. I just do it usually when I'm in my bed, but I'm only able to pull out one or a few at a time. It's really not that strange to me haha. Guess cause I got used to it. It's almost like a weird form of trichotillomania?

When I'm on the toilet, I'll pull out pubic hairs that are already loose.

I do this all the time. Not for asthetic reasons or anything; sometimes I do it absent-mindedly. o.O It just feels good, I guess. And it doesn't matter if it's single hairs, or rolling a bunch together betwixt the fingers to pull out a tuft. xD (Sounds so weird and kinda gross; I hate body hair) Either way.

Lol. It's not that it doesn't hurt, it's just at the same time it's extremely satisfying

I do this sometimes. I only do it when I feel itchy around the thighs or something because it doesn't hurt as much for me that way, because the skin is already irritated. It kinda makes the pain pleasurable. I know it might sound weird lol. But if I'm not itchy then I don't do it because it hurts the shit outta me.

Hmm. Okay, so..I tried this once. I just finished shaving and was out of the showering putting lotion on when I noticed I missed a hair. I had already thrown the disposable razor out. I then grabbed a set of tweezers and yanked the lone pube out. It hurt like a motherfucker, but I noticed that the hair that was pulled out didn't grow back nearly as fast as the rest.

Since I liked the results, a few days afterwards, I tried to pluck them all out..yeah. That wasn't happening.

TBH i do it on a much higher level,i just plucked out all of my BALL HAIRS and just signed into this site to ask tht question, but seems like it was already here.
I am relieved to see that some people are like (though not on the same level)

I feel the same way. It's very comforting. It is normal though it is a hair pulling disease.

I see evidence of this happening on public toilets and urinals, more than anything. Men must rip hair out when they are physically aggressive with themselves, discarding waste or waste falling out of clothes from earlier pulling sections.

I'm was just doing it. I've been doing it for years in privacy of my bed. Use a LENT ROLLER to clean and tidy all surrounding areas. Vacuum floors often, and early.

Pulling feels good, now. At 20yoa, separation anxiety led me to pull out the hair on the very crown of my head making a big bold spot. As both a 10yo & 15yo, I let the goats eat off the top of my head all my hair making huge bold spots.

"Comforting self-abuse." The pain must feel like home, so pleasure has taken the place of pain.

My question is, are the empty fallical pores now open wounds, an entry for STV if sexually active, from bodily fruids?

Important, because I also pull out hair from back of hands, wrists, face, ears, nose, and if I'm or sick or someone else sick, can those be open wounds for entry of germs, diseases, flu, ecoli., infection?

I do this to. It's a habit but it's so relaxing. And it doesn't hurt at all. It helps me fall asleep

It doesn't hurt if you're already itchy. But it's more like pulling on your brows or lashes. I tug not yank mine. Not often though. When I do I'm trying to sleep

I do this, too, and have been doing it for a couple years now. I have read on some OCD-related sites that what starts out as a silly habit can spiral into something bigger, but I haven't really experienced that yet myself. I have a tendency to do this when I laying on my couch watching TV or browsing the web. I used to get completely waxed down there on a monthly basis, so I think that's why I don't find it painful. It almost feels cleansing to me in a weird way.

Do I think it's normal? No, I don't. But you're not alone. We're all a bunch of weirdos anyway. haha ;)

    • Ah, I'm glad to hear that we share the same weird habit. I honestly don't do it as much when I'm shaved/trimmed. It's more satisfying when the hairs are longer lol. Thanks for commenting :)

  • Owchie lol I do that with my armpit hairs once in a blue moon, only with tweezers. Don't ask me why. Never with pubes though! I can't say I have had the urge to do that.

Just make sure you wash your hands after. And also don't get too many at once then it hurts apart from that I think its normal. Some people do it subconsciously without realiseing

I've never known anyone to do that, although maybe more people do it than I thought. I'm with Floydzy though, this sounds like it would hurt.
