how old are you? if you're really having serious thoughts about it I'd suggest going to a psychologist/psychiatrist and speaking to them about it and work out why you feel like that and if it's gender dysphoria or not. you should wait until you're 18 though before doing serious stuff like taking hormones to make sure it's what you really want.

you need to have a long and hard think, at least wait a year or more to see if you still feel the same way or if your mind changed. it's definitely not something to rush into, you need to 100% be certain of what you are feeling because if you ever change your mind the effects of surgery/hormones are permanent.

      THIS IS GOOD ADVICE^^^^

Listen to this guy. He is also a really good chicken father & cat father, which should garner some extra points

I definitely agree. Taking one thing into account: irreversible consequences of puberty that cannot be changed due to disphoria could possibly be prevented with careful consideration.

You can't change your voice, for example, if you go through puberty. And I have often heard in help forums from such people that they had problems with their voice because it was too masculine and they couldn't simply train it away.

But actually I don't care. The main thing is that the questioner feels good and has no regrets.

Oh I totally agree and that's a great point. Some of the "hormones" people come in here to get on a rampant tizzy about, whilst they're constantly having a temper tantrum online, hyper focused on kid dicks like a pedo army...

Those "hormones" are actually drugs designed to delay puberty (ie secondary sexual characteristics) without causing any side effects. They just stop puberty from happening, which can be incredibly traumatic for someone who feels they are the wrong sex, in order to give someone time to consider their options as an adult and with massive amounts of therapy (which is actually a prerequisite to any long term hormone replacement or sex change surgery).

The fact that people on here think that 10 year olds are getting sex changes is just blatantly fucking false, but all the people who discriminate against trans people have no other foothold except for painting them as a roving gang of crazies who's sole mission is to chop off kid dicks.

I remember the good old days, when it wasn't cool for old white men to spend all day obsessing about kid dicks on the internet, but here we are...

And yes, I should've mentioned it, but I assumed this was an older teen who already went through the awkward puby-awkwards!

In my opinion, which I do not even think counts that much, as I have never experienced trans feelings, the advice you get on this website will actually he the most absurdly destructive and disgusting advice you could possibly hear. Please ignore it.

The fact that people here are under the impression that someone would have incredibly painful surgery or take body altering hormones because it's just so trendy and cool that they have been influenced to RIP their own body apart...it is so patently absurd and disgusting. The fact that these people find you to be so flimsy and powerless that they think you would change you're entire body and life just to follow a social whim speaks volumes about how little they think of transgender people. It's pretty fucking gross.

This is your body & your decision. No one else can make it for you. No one, but it is a HUGE choice. I recommend following vaas's advice. See a therapist. Think it through & figure out how YOU feel about it. It is no one else's choice & fuck what everyone else thinks. You do what makes YOU happy.

I think the best advice we can give anyone on this site is to completely disregard all advice. This place is a fucking cesspit. And yes, I know, I'm here too. I honestly don't know why I keep coming back.

Hahahahahaha. You aren't on here an egregious amount, so consider it entertainment. You have teething children watching the same peppa pig episode on repeat & you can come on here and spend a solid 30 minutes schooling some dumbass bitches with actual advice. Not that bad. I've seen people on here all day, responding to every comment.

It's a trendy thing to do now but what you should do is listen to both sides of the argument. Because the LGTB are gonna say you are and encourage it regardless. But if you start hormones and shit thats permanent effects on your body. Its not a decision you make lightly.

You also have to think about the stigma. Whether its right or wrong theres a lot of people that arent gonna like you, your family probably wont like it. Transgenders have a 40% suicide rate even post op. If you do go trans you can protest about how your treatment you get from people is not fair but ppl are assholes, and thats outside of your control. Just know what youre getting into. Its not gonna be as glamorous and great as the LGTB will have you think it is.

Never meet a transsexual had easy time one they ripped her leg off. Exploited drugs used I seen some crazy hair raising stuff. Its a rough world if contemplating gender reassignment seek to mental health professional. if Trans a choice make sure you have no choice that can be a really rough road
