Is it normal to pretend to be your own made up character?

sometimes, when I'm alone, I sometimes talk to myself as a character that I made up one day. this started out of nowhere one day when I was just laying on my bed watching TV and I just started to act like this other character that had an actual personality and everything, not just a silly voice. it happens at random times, and it feels fun to do, at one point, I was even contemplating giving the character a name. now, I'm wondering if this is a normal thing or not

I think it depends on your age but then again you would probably be a good actor.

Sounds fun. You just have a creative soul. Maybe you would be a good writer.

That's all anyone does. We're all just playing made up characters, what's not normal is believing our everyday characters are real.

I personally think it's strange. I'm sure a lot of people do it, but it's still weird.

I think many people are into role playing. Maybe you should give Dungeons and Dragons or LARPing a try.
