Is it normal to procrastinate... and

then blog about it? I have been making false promises to myself to get this paper done at least 1 week prior to the due date. Here it is, 4 days before it's due, and I have put it off by doing my ritual of getting in front of the computer, open up the document, then minimizing and play a few games on the computer, or watching just one more episode of "South Park"... now I have joined a web site and posted about the whole thing... thus more procrastination.. Hey if your gonna be good at something, why not procrastination... All this time could be written on my paper.. kinda funny.. I ALWAYS get papers done, I just am always running around at the last minute.

PEACE!!

I'm pretty similar. I can only truly commit myself to a paper if it's due the next day, that seems to be the only motivation for me. You have to find things you're interested in, write about things you like. Of course it's going to be uninteresting forcing yourself to research a topic you hate. That's why I hate all the basic classes like english 101 you have to take in college.

Haha that comment above is funny! and yess I tend to do that to!! For all my studying, I always study the night before a test and try to cram as much information as I can into my head and end up staying up really late and getting zero sleep. And same for my homework and projects. I'm terrible at procastination. It's become a bad habit for me. I always start and finish a project the night before it's due. That's a bad habit I'm trying to work on so I kno how u feel. I went to my counselor office today and she told me to " start developing study habits now so u will get use to the way it is"

Normal. In fact, I'm procrastinating right now and I have a programming assignment to do.
