Is it normal to procrastinate a lot?

I have grades in the 70s - 90s. If I have 2 or more big projects, I leave things to the very last minute, like the night before. If I have just one big project, I procrastinate less, but it's still pretty bad. It always seems like too much work and I lose the will to do it. IIN?

Seriously? =O This has got to be one of the most normal IIN questions ever! I also procrastinate and although it rarely produces good results, its a very normal yet negative practice. I never was the type to get an assignment, go straight home and think "Oh I'll put off oiling up as Hakan and cornering Sakura in Street Fighter 4 in the Run-Down Back Alley stage where no one can hear her scream, I'll just do this incredibly annoying Autodesk Maya homework first with my 2GB RAM computer with onboard graphics that makes my work take 3 times as long because it SUCKS!" Yeah never happened. Now with household bills and other important things, I'd imagine this habit would disappear quick.

  • I do because I think the chore I've got to do is gona take up a lot of time so I keep putting it off...but every time I get round to it, I realise I spent more time procrastinating then the actual task.

Don't worry. It's a bad habit but you'll shake it eventually. It's normal to procrastinate especially in this day in age. You just have to learn to budget your time wisely and get things done as soon as you get them.
