Is it normal to put ranch on french fries?

My mum and my brother dip their french fries in, not ketchup, but RANCH. This is absolutely appalling to me, but they think it's totally normal. Is it?

    I dip french fries in ranch all the time. It's bomb.

    ranch is disgusting but ive seen people put it on pizza so idk probably normal.

    not practical from my experience, but nothing too werid since it’s just putting sauce on french fries.
