Is it normal to read words wrongly?

Recently when I've read words on signs I've been reading them wrongly. For example I was in Foyles and I read Humour on a bookshelf I looked on the shelf and there were authors like Stephen King. I thought this weird so looked back up and it actually said Horror. Then today I was on the underground and I read 'remember' on a wall poster I looked back and it was actually 'become'.

P.s I am mildly dyslexia and wondered if there was a relationship between this and my dyslexia. Would like to hear from dyslexia and non dyslexia alike. thanks

I'm not dyslexic but it's happened to me. I once glanced at a sign that read "Overhead Doors" and for some reason read "Sylvester Poop". Needless to say I lost it.

I think it's just the brain trying to fill in when it doesn't fully process the information.

I once read POTS for STOP and went through an intersection and hit another car. j/k. I do it, and I've always thought I was mildly dyslexic.

I have dyslexia and I often read words wrong, you get use to it and learn to read over things twice.

I'm not dyslexic but this happens to me every so often as well with the same type of effect that you mentioned. It's annoying but normal.

It happens to me too. I'm not sure if I have dyslexia, though. I don't think I do:S. About half of my family seem to have problems with words in one way or another. My Aunty has dyslexia, and I know she gets this too.
