Is it normal that I don't understand what you're talking about, but I would like to understand?
...and yes, I HATE telemarketers. I have had two occasions when my need for funds was such that I accepted a position which could be deemed as telemarketing. In both instances I quit after the first day. To be completely honest my memory of the first occasion is so fuzzy that sometimes I'm not entirely sure as to whether or not it happened at all.
... but seriously, I can't do any kind of work where I am forced to persuade people to waste their money as such pursuits leave me feeling dirty inside my heart and soul. Approximately 20 years ago I was residing in a little corner of Hell known as The Mississippi Delta, I couldn't find any work in radio broadcasting so I took a job as a junior account executive, because I was desperate, delusional and very broke. I only lasted about three weeks, which was mostly training by the way, because I felt horribly depressed, anxious and couldn't eat without smoking a little marijuana. Deep down inside I felt that I was going against my innermost nature, and pretending to be something I was not when I would wear those stupid suits. Give me a job where I can wear blue jeans and some vintage Doc Martens!
